In the light of this week’s earthquake in Nepal, which has affected so many villages and rural communities, we felt that it would be great to send any money raised at the field day directly to a charity that has been working there for a number of years.  The founder of the charity will be in Kildwick on Sunday and will transfer the money straight to Nepal next week, where it can be used immediately.  No ‘middle man’, no admin costs.  There will therefore be opportunities to donate money in return for bouncing on the castle, buying hot-dogs, eating cakes or getting your face painted!!  Let’s make it a day to celebrate where we live AND support villages in need in Nepal.  Bring some small change with you!
