As the ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ is due to pass through the village on the 3rd May, we would like to encourage villagers to come along and make use of the playing field during the afternoon of the event.

A ‘Yorkshire Dales’ ice-cream van will be in attendance selling ice creams as well as cold drinks. Hot dogs will also be on sale.

There will be a bouncy castle, children’s sporting activities with prizes to take part in as well as the new climbing wall for children to try out.

Activities will start from 2pm but there should be plenty of buzz through the village as amateur riders take to the course during the morning of the event. The main tour should arrive in the village between 3:15 and 3:30pm.

Why not bring a picnic along and relax at the playing field while taking in what will be one of Yorkshire’s biggest sporting events!
